Hahns Peak is formed from regular processes of Faulting. Like most other Mountain ranges in the world there are a numerous amount of anticline and syncline formations throughout the Rocky Mountains that create these taller peaks like Hahns. The Rocky Mountains are know as part of the Western Cordillera system. Hahns Peak was formed by extreme amounts of heat and pressure paired with numerous amounts of uplift creating its peak. Facets range from the foothills of the Rockies to the interior giving them their triangular shapes at the base. All of these processes combined are what the Rocky Mountains including Hahns Peak are made of, as well as sedimentary rocks, minerals, crystals and fossils.

  1. This is very informative and has good descriptions as well as being easy to understand. One thing I would suggest is more pictures/diagrams to better illustrate your points.

  2. I Love to camp up in the Steamboat lake area and also up at Pearl lake as well. One thing that I always remember about these camping trips is the view of Hahns peak while boating Steamboat lake, I remember one time in praticular when my uncle pointed to Hahns peak and called it nipple peak, and said he was going to climb to the top and kiss it. So I always remembered it as nipple peak.
